Dr. Efrain Vargas, DDS

I was born and raised in Mexico, I earned my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolás de Hidalgo (2007–2013). I then spent eight years practicing in Puerto Vallarta, focusing on restorative dentistry, during which I completed extensive continuing education in minor oral surgery, orthodontics, aesthetic dentistry, and prosthodontics. In 2021, I relocated to the United States to reunite with my family. I completed a postdoctoral program in Advanced Restorative Dentistry at UCLA (2023-2025 generation), earning a Master’s Degree in Biomimetic Dentistry (2024-2026)—a modern approach that now forms the core of my clinical practice.

My passion for service began in childhood, inspired by accompanying my mother to help underserved communities. Realizing early on that I excelled at detailed, hands-on work, I knew dentistry was my calling. Today, I am proud to hold dual dental licenses in both Mexico and the United States. Outside the clinic, I stay active through intense daily workouts—a passion rooted in my childhood dream of becoming an Olympian—I also enjoy traveling and spending time with my Saint Berdoodle.
